About the Founder
Sushma Kumar is an internationally renowned freelance Artist, Curator, Danseuse, and Professional Badminton Player. With more than 15 years of experience in these fields, she has organized various Wildlife Art exhibitions including Save the Wildlife & Nature, Save the Tiger & Nature, Save the Bird & Nature, among others. Being a sports enthusiast, she has participated in multiple Badminton Championships and is presently the State Champion in Master’s Badminton Championship, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.
Concept of “Surkhab”
In the good olden days, the elderly ladies of the family used to teach basic
homemaking skills to girls.
But, with the advent of nuclear families and increasing burden of studies, there
is no way to provide these grooming skills.
In the new order, Women have to play multiple roles; She is a corporate
manager, home maker, and companion at the same time.
Grooming women to these challenges is the need of the hour. Our vision is to
give them power under their wings so they can fly and become the Women of
substance.
Surkhab is all about celebrating ‘‘WOMANHOOD’’- Grace, Poise, and
Confidence, learning intricacies of Art, Dance, and Life skills for positive living,
and bringing out the best in you.
